ABOUT BUFFALO CREEK PRECISION

Buffalo Creek Precision is a gunsmithing business specializing in accurizing competition and hunting rifles.

John Mills, Owner and Founder of BCP, was inspired to start the company when the use of “factory” rifles was not meeting the requirements of his own shooting needs.

With many years of business experience and a life-long passion for hunting and shooting, it is no wonder BCP is making its way to the top of the gunsmithing world due to Mills' attention to detail and accuracy.

Mills was born and raised on a cattle/sheep ranch on the Upper Nowood River in Wyoming. At a young age he was taught that family comes first and your ability to ride a horse and shoot were the most essential tools to make sure you could fulfill your family obligation.

Growing up, Mills looked up to his grandfather, Foster L. Mills, as one of the most resourceful men he ever knew. His grandfather could fabricate anything and had his own machine/welding shop on the ranch where he built and repaired all of their equipment used on the ranch. Foster Mills was a mentor and teacher for John. Like MIlls, the name Buffalo Creek Precision comes from his Wyoming roots, as his grandparents homesteaded on Buffalo Creek, West of Ten Sleep, Wyoming, in the 1940's.

“I built two hunting rifles for myself in the summer of 2015 while attending an NRA sponsored gunsmithing school. The whole business started by having other hunters see the performance of those rifles in the field and wanting me to build hunting rifles for them.”
